Following last year's success, Leicester Park's Servies is staging its second Magic Mile event at Victoria Park. Won last year by Owl's Paul Richardson in 4.23 on a twisty road course, this year's event is being held tomorrow evening, 29th July.
Again, this event is being held in conjuction with Leicester Fun Run, a 5km challenge starting a 7.40PM. All are welcome, and entry is on the night. There is also a 2.5km fun run for Under 11s.

A message for all athletes, the next track league fixture is this Saturday in Newport (NP19 4PT).
We are currently in a mid placing in the league so we need a strong showing to ensure we don't get relegated and remain the highest placed track and field league club in Leicester.
Meeting 8.30am at Borders on Saturday. Please confirm attendance with Wayne. |

Owls Paul Richardson recorded another road race victory on Sunday at the Prestwold 10km in North Leicestershire. Richardson, who recorded his PB of 29:54 over the distance a month ago in London, dominated the race to win by a clear 27 seconds from former Owl Gordon Lee. Paul finished in 30:46. Duncan Hopwood finished 9th in the Vet50 category, clocking 42:23. |
