If comparing times then you have drawn our attention to what was a solid 6 stage performance in 1999. This season we did a similar time but gained a silver medal, we know as a team we didn't perform to our full potential, but we still gained a silver medal!!
Over the past year or so we have won the county champs (senior) (not sure if ever or in a good few years) got a 17th in the national cross, 3rd in a high quality birmingham league race, current English Schools 3km silver medalist, Midland 3Km Champion (senior) track. So as you can see we ARE improving!! And compared to the current decline in standards through out the country this must be a significant achievement.
I agree with Wayne about the write ups in the Mercury, we can only see if we are making a breakthrough when we get a story when we haven't done anything!! However it is still good to get full headlines + pictures cuz this wasn't happening last year, even when we were achieving!!
