What’s happened? Has everybody been killed off by an awful terrorist atrocity perpetrated by some madman hell bent on dominating the world and disseminating some warped ideology; or has George Bush decided we’ve suffered enough eating at MacDonald’s thereby leaving the true reason for the lack of recent interest in this excellent page a mystery.
If there is anyone out there, I wonder what you think to recent discussion that athletes receiving lottery funding have been spending it inappropriately, and if you were an athlete receiving this funding how do you think it could best be utilised to develop your potential?
Also, what do you all think to the lack of exposure the OWLS have received in the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards. I see that the Coritanians have been nominated and considered as among the main protagonists in a number of categories; so much so that when I read the first word of the supporting statement for Rob Sheen as Veteran Sportsperson of the Year I initially thought it said conspiracy not consistency. At this point I should state that I have no argument here with anyone at the Coritanians or their athletes performances, and in particular the achievements of someone like Grant Prendergast. As a final word on this matter can someone please tell me what Bill Masefield’s contribution to sport is.
