I think there is no doubt that the greatest ever performance was done by none other that Sir Alan Gaylor. Iam not sure if many will recall but, there was a time that SIr Alan set an owls club record in the HAMMER THROW. It all took place at a McDonalds Leaugue meet in northampton. Alan had three attempts at the hammer, Of which he decided to throw all of them one handed. The first two throws were fouls (because they didnt get out of the circle). The final throw though was an all time never to be beaten record, Alan managed to throw a whopping 88 centremeters. this was good enough for last place, and ensured a whole point for the team. i think there is little doubt that this is the greatest performance ever by an OWL.
