Firstly, i dont think this'discussion ' page should be used to slag people off in this manner and i feel Paul has a right to be annoyed.I am however, fully appreciative of those people who strive to protect the owls in any way shape or form.I dont subscribe totally to the AGREED training swop change/shift in coaching relationship etc; because feedback systems were not as i would have liked or expected (do you remember Paul?) I have not seen anything that Paul has put into writing that is particulary derogatary about the club. There was however a comment made some months ago about the reasons for Paul's success in bringing him to personal bests.I felt the comments made at the time were simplistic and didnt represent the facts of the matter but this is a matter of opinion..I felt Paul maybe at this time minimised the impact the club had.But this is water under the bridge and not particulary significant now.I can certainly vouch for Paul's seriousness as an athlete in the time that i coached him he was exceptionally serious and i expect the same applies now.He was also a loyal member and this shouldnt be forgotten either. As for the reasons he left(i didnt actually realise he had resigned...)these are personal if he feels they are personal and this should be respected.I know the reasons and one may say they were due to a 'personality clash'between Paul and myself.I doubt that Paul has anything against the club and had certain circumstances not have prevailed he would still be a valued member.I am sure that with a favourable response to his injury Paul will put all the necessary work in to stay injury free and move towards getting back to the top of the pile.I know of other athletes who have a tremendous passion for the sport and havent been able to run for years because of chronic injury, for a young athlete i cant imagine anything more upsetting. Therefore,as an athlete Paul should recieve all the encouragement possible to help him get back to his best.
I wish you well and hope you have a positive impact on the sport and vice versa .
